Scientific Israel – Technological Advantages Journal represented by editor-in-chief professor Oleg Figovsky
Prof. Oleg Lvovich Figovsky is the founder and R&D the Polymate Ltd. - International Nanotechnology Research Centre where he is working on research in nanostructured corrosion-resistant composite materials and protective coatings based on a polymer and silicate matrix. Novel nanotechnologies invented by Prof. O. Figovsky were the basis for establishing industrial production in the US, Canada, China, Mexico, Russia and Israel. He is a member of the European Academy of Sciences and Head of the UNESCO Chair "Green Chemistry". For his inventions in nanotechnologies he was awarded gold and silver medals at IENA-98 and Gold Angel Prize at the Genius 2006 exhibition. Prof. Oleg Figovsky has authored of a few books, more than 300 scientific articles and 500 patents.

It is proposed to use non-traditional approach for engineering education, when the Sustainable Development Concept integrates with Systematic Approach to be used not only as the theoretic base, foundation and philosophy of engineering education but and as science for future experts activity strategy and tactics. The essence of our approach consists not only in that the future experts have seized the concept of sustainable development, but and in that this concept became base and system forming element of all basic disciplines and courses of lectures in system of continuous education.

This encompasses the production of nanomaterials without environmental toxicity, at room temperature and with the use of renewable energy sources. The book contains the descriptions and results of theoretical and experimental researches in the field of environment friendly nanotechnology carried out over the past decade by the scientific team of company Polymate Ltd.-International Nanotechnology Center (Israel) under leadership of Prof. O. Figovsky. Developments of the Company have been used in industry and agriculture and protected by more than 25 patents of USA, Germany and Russia.
